Bunny Williams, Part 1

I had the pleasure of seeing a designer GREAT yesterday and almost died when I saw her in person. She is as sweet and charming as she can be, but I can tell that she can crack the whip as well when things aren't going her way. Paysage hosted a fabulous luncheon and had a book signing later at their store. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. (Please excuse the big smile, I was clearly excited! Photo via iPhone, so excuse the quality as well.)

Here on Bald Head Island, wedding season is still in full force. Although the air is a little brisk, it is my favorite time of the year for weddings. Kids are back and school and summer vacation is long gone, but it is not quite Christmas time. October and November are perfect months for those brides that want something a little different. Halloween Rehearsal Dinner Ideas

Check out this gorgeous Halloween rehearsal dinner designed by the talented Soiree out of Charleston, South Carolina. I particularly love this because the bride went all out; you just can't do a Halloween party half way!
When meeting with brides, a lot of them steer away from wedding dates that are close to popular holidays. I suggest to do the exact opposite. While it takes a special bride to get married on Halloween, it also is the perfect excuse to go all out on a costume party, bring out the sequins for a New Year's Eve reception, or showcase a fabulous fireworks display on 4th of July. Traditions can still be kept for a holiday wedding, but take advantage of having your friends and family together and throw that killer party you have always wanted.

Halloween Treats

Being Halloween week will bring lots of tricks and treat this week at Fifi Cheek. Being a total scaredy cat, I will leave the tricks up to someone else!
Laudree is a beautiful shop in Paris that sells coveted macaroons and other yummy treats. They are a bit expensive to ship over to the States but I found a good substitution that has equally beautiful packaging. (That is the real reason that Laudree is so loved, right?) Bottega Louie just popped open in Los Angeles other than their famous macaroons, they also have mouth watering pastries, pizzas, and pies. They ship overnight, so these treats could be perfect as stocking stuffers!Add Image

Lots of Projects

Hello Darlings. The wallpaper is up and the sconces have been chosen. On to the the next project of the Master Bedroom. Originally, I thought that I knew exactly what we needed. Beautiful wallpaper, iron bed, mirrored side tables. It was an inspiration from Miles Redd but after checking out the pricing for the wallpaper ($165 a roll!), I may just have to have a change of heart. Out searching for a way to pull this off... wish me luck!

Good News Friday

I can honestly say that I have never been actually addicted to anything in my life. Yes, I love my coffee in the morning and red wine at night, but if I had to stop, I could. When Domino magazine announced its last issue this past winter, my palms grew sweaty and my stomach began to churn. No Domino? How could this be? Why do I not get a say in this break-up? The days that my Domino magazine would come in the mail, my husband would place it on our dining room table and leave me be for hours to search through it. After a while, he grew a fan as well, although he knew not to take it out of the plastic before I got home. No matter how bad my day had been, the day that my Domino magazine came in, it could always cheer me up. OK. I had a slight additction.

Well girls and guys, I think this addict may have a relapse. Enter Lonny magazine. Lonny Magazine is in the works for an October 1st release date and is a spin-off of Domino magazine. Rubie Green creator, Michelle Adams, is the person behind the scenes for Lonny Magazine along with dozens of other incredibly talented people.

I can't wait until the magazine debuts. I'm sure it will arrive on my kitchen table along with a big glass of red wine.
