Workin' It

I  had a baby during the holiday season which was magical... except for the whole over indulging part. I've got 20 pounds to loose and am more motivated than ever to do it. I finally got clearance from the doctor that I can start working out. I'm really excited except for the fact that all I have are too small gym clothes or maternity leggings, so I need some new kicks and clothes to get me started.
I want to invest in some key pieces that will not only give me the right tools to work out, but will also make me look good doing it! No more excuses I say!

I love that I can workout and spend time with Tilley-Gray while on a run. It's the best of both worlds!

Yoga is another great way for me to shed these pounds and my gym offers amazing classes!
And yes, I'm a sucker for infomercials. Listen, if this is what keeps Gwyneth slim and trim you know I'm going to try it. A friend andI bought this DVD when I was about 8 months pregnant and when it showed up on our doorstep, the husband asked me what the hell I thought I was doing. I assured him that it was for after the baby. (And I started this week. It's no joke. I pour sweat and can hardly walk the next day... I think it's working!)

What are some of your favorite exercises? Any gear or gadgets that you can't live without?

  2. Hey girl! I know what you mean. I had my son in October so maternity leave was filled with sweets, wine, breads, and chili. I did Weight Watchers which helped but got cumbersome, but I loved one hour hot yoga classes. You know your body changes so much after a baby, and it was nice in the yoga classes to totally sweat it out and feel powerful again. I'm dying to try the Tracey Anderson method. Please let me know how it goes!! Love to Tilley Gray.

  3. Oh I can't wait to hear more about your Tracey Anderson Method! I might have to get crazy and try that but it looks so hard. Love the Nike top. My sis gave me a Lululemon tee for Christmas and I have lived in it. It even brought me a little street cred at Pilates!

  5. Insanity! After I was allowed to workout post baby I got up to running three to five miles but could not zap the gut. One week of insanity and I could zip my jeans! You'll be back to your old self in no time I'm sure.

  6. One regret I have is putting pressure on myself to lose the extra baby weight after I had my 1st child ( the 2nd one comes along and you are lucky to care if your hair is brushed!)NO ONE looks fabulous after they have a baby! even Beyonce! Remember to be patient with yourself! I love your blog- you are such a cute girl and will look adorable in those outfits with that baby girl in tow!

  7. Thanks for following me via Instagram! Happy to find your blog and your daughter is just angelic.

I lost 30 lbs after both my boys (Gained a total of 50 with each pregnancy.) and it was a challenge for me. I had great success with Weight Watchers both times and lots of exercise.

Good Luck and remember to drink lots of water too!
