Inspiration is everywhere this time of year and I have had the worst problem of sleeping at night. A warm bath, a cup of tea, a long book read; nothing can put me to sleep. With a very exciting wedding weekend ahead with one of my favorite couples and gobs of fall inspiration, my sleepless nights have actually been lots of fun!

The combination of white marble countertops and croissants and champagne make this picture perfection

I love everything about this look thanks to J.Crew's new Collection

Rue Magazine Love

Love this new online magazine, Rue. Between Rue and Lonny, my void for Domino is almost filled. I still can't figure out a way to safely bring these online magazines in the bubble bath like I did with Domino in the good old days!

Here is a sneak peak of what Rue has in store for you!

Bon Appetit came in the mail today, and they have published the holy grail of grilled cheese. It's definitely worth reading  as crisp weather and bourbon season approaches. Happy weekend.

Seeing Double

Cherri and Larry Cheek, my in-laws (yes, those are their real names, my mother-in-laws name is really Cherri Cheek) are giving us two four poster twin beds that they have had forever. They are really darling (both my in-laws and the beds) and make what the husband wants a reality. Since we moved in to our house, he won't stop talking about how our guest room needs twin beds. "The layout would be perfect" he keeps saying. He literally won't shut up about it. It doesn't make any sense, as we don't have children, when guests visit, it's typically a couple, and we already have a perfectly good bed in the guest room. With all of my other projects, that's what he has chose to focus on. In the next week, he will finally get his way, with twin beds.

My dilemma with twin beds (other than the obvious) is that I refuse to do anything child like. This room needs to be welcoming and sophisticated. Our guests are already going to feel weird sleeping in a twin bed with their significant other sleeping in the other bed. It needs to be chic and needs to match the rest of our house. After licking my battle wounds and giving in to defeat, I researched a little inspiration for other twin bed rooms and was surprised when I found so many that I liked! Would you have a guest bedroom with twin beds?

Happy Monday (and Randomness)

I love Martha... she is hands down the best. Red roses typically make me cringe, but this is brilliant. Love the ribbon. Thanks for showing me the light Martha Stewart. I heart you..

This is one perfect room. It makes my heart smile.

I'll be here in less than two months. I might die of excitement before the day actually gets here. I'm so excited.

Do you not die? She melts me. She has claimed that chair and my new ikat pillow. I hope my one day that my kids are half this cute. If they are, I'm in major trouble.

Apartments in Paris

So, as you know, the husband and I are going to Paris in November. I am thrilled, but a tiny bit stressed because the constant paycheck and paid health insurance is no longer an option, and Paris isn't something that someone I can really do on a budget. Yikes!
(Should have thought about that before I spent $9937593912 on these)

In a way to find a happy balance between luxury and reality, I have been apartment shopping in Paris. Yes, it's true. To rent an apartment in Paris is far less expensive than to stay in a hotel for a week. After scouring hundreds of websites, I found a chic little apartment in the Latin Quarter (which I heard is a lot like SOHO in NYC) and have completely fallen in love. What do you think? Before I book it, please give me feed back as to (a) is this actually a good neighborhood and (b) if you know a better/less expensive but totally glam place to stay in Paris.

This is the main room... aren't those windows divine?

What hotel has crystal chandeliers in the bedroom? I love this!

This is the incredible view from the apartment.

Here is one of the neighborhood's cafes. How charming!

More details to come!!!
