new (bebe) blog love

I told you how everyone I know is having a baby, right? It's true. Literally, every time I turn around, BAM, someone else is preg. I love it and couldn't be happier for them. I just got back from a baby shower that was precious and sweet. I hope that one day I can ooh and aah over things like baby swings. I just don't have that in me right now, but I've been told it will eventually come. As she opened one gift after another, I just keep thinking, "There is no way in hell I could put that (insert random plastic brightly colored super necessary baby item) in my house. It doesn't work with the decor." Clearly... not ready for a baby.

In the meantime, I'm loving this new blog by Chocolate Butterbean designer, Joni, on her new adventures of being a mom and still staying hip. She just had the cutest baby (whose name I love for a one day little Cheek) and has created a blog that is totally swoon worthy. Check out the blog, Lay Baby Lay, here. 

All of that non-stop work last week threw me right into a spiral of sickness. A stomach flu that turned into strep throat and bronchitis. I have had a fever now for five days. Five days! I love watching Oprah and movies all day, but enough is enough! 

I'm looking forward to getting back to work, but in the meantime, this photo of a seriously cute dad and his bebe will give me something else to look at until the sickness goes away.

I believe in

the reward system. This week has been insane with long hours and each time I cross something off my list, 30 more things appear. I think every girl should have one of these for working so hard.

And I think I should have this beauty to keep my iPad safe when it is still on top of my car and I drive away.

 I think this would keep it nice and safe. There is no way I would forget about this one.

From the tropics to the artic, I'm now in Atlanta at the International Gift and Furniture show searching for fabulous wedding goods and inspiration. No rest for the weary! My head won't hit my own pillow for a few more days, but I can tell you that the showrooms that I saw today are worth braving the ice and snow. Hope you are staying warm!

Bon Voyage... again!

No, the Bahamas are not giving us a refund for the terrible weather we had a few weeks ago. (Terrible weather but a great vacation!)

We are going on the same trip but with the Tilley's this time. (That's my side of the family!) In a "there is no way this is happening" moment in life, Grayson's parents and my parents booked the exact same trip weeks apart. So, tomorrow, we are off for another jaunt in the islands, keeping our fingers crossed for beautiful weather, and good family time with my side.
