Windsor Smith Dream Home

Buying home décor magazines is one of my absolute favorite things to do. I have loved magazines since I was a little girl and would always look at them while my mom grocery shopped. Although Hickory, NC did not typically have my favorites; House Beautiful, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Town & Country, it did have Southern Living.

I have quite a collection of shelter magazines and have them displayed on the bookcase in my living room that my grandfather built. Anna Spiro from
absolutely beautiful things had one built in her Brisbane, Australia home and I knew that one similar would look beautiful in our living room. My husband did the measurements and then sent them to my grandfather. So now, my husband has a place for his TV and I have a place for my magazines.

In the most recent House Beautiful, Windsor Smith’s Los Angeles home is featured and it is really drop dead. It’s my favorite kind of style and the one that is most hard to achieve. It’s very ecletic but not too hippy, homey without being frumpy, and pink without being too girly.
