Surf Style at Home

Thankfully, my husband didn't come with over sized leather furniture, sports posters, or deer heads, but he did come with about a dozen surfboards. Instead of cramming them all under our house and in our shed, I decided to hang a few of the nicer ones in our house as art work. We have a lot of long walls in our house and 11' ceilings, so hanging these surfboards was great because they took up empty walls that would have taken us a long time to fill. 
I love seeing boards used as artwork in other homes, especially the bottom picture of skateboards hung in Michelle Adams (former Lonny magazine editor) NYC apartment. 

 

I might be the last person to know this, but thought I would share anyway!
Diane von Furstenberg designed a limited collection of bathing suits, cover-ups, and even surfboards for Roxy (think the great DVF prints at the Roxy price)! I love the prints of the bathing suits and wouldn't mind one of these boards on our walls! See the full collection here.

A New Outlook

Gray and I are quickly growing out of our little bungalow, and unless we find an incredible deal, we will more than likely start building a home in the next year. While growing up, I moved 17 times before I turned 18, so I would love to build a house that I love and stay put for a good long while. One thing on our wish list when we build a home are steel windows and doors.  I'm not sure they will be in the budget once we add all of our "must haves" but they sure do make a home beautiful.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I couldn't get my Christmas card act together (after all, I had a big birthday party to plan!) so decided to send out a Valentine's Card instead. Millie took the photos and Erin pulled together a card for me to send out to all of Tilley-Gray's little buddies. I love how it turned out!

I have a hundred names for her, but from the start, she's been our little nugget.

Take a Chance on Love

Carmen Johnston, a garden designer and founder of the garden event company, Nectar and Company, created this stop-motion video on how to create three DIY bouquets for Valentine's Day. From the adorable couple, to the styling, to the music, this is such a treat for Valentine's Day!

An adorable  reader (thanks Ivey!) sent this video over thinking I would love it, and she was right! 

Mom + Daughter in Paris

We went to Paris two years ago, and on the very last day, we lost our camera. (you can read about our adventure here) Devastated, we still have our memories and a fantastic excuse to go back to Paris soon. 

Seeing these pictures made me think that the next time we go to Paris, it will be even more magical with Tilley-Gray along our side. An Oklahoma City mom and daughter were visiting Paris and hired Dublin based photographer, Doreen Kilfeather to document their day. Are these not so precious? 

Paris is such a special place to me that I would love to have family photos taken there.
