Favorite Fridays

With just two days until the sweet people from HGTV magazine arrive, Grayson and I have been in full- on clean/organize/crazy mode at night while the days have been filled with great new work projects and time spent with Tilley-Gray. How has your week been?
A few favorites from this week...

Favorite Video
I haven't taken a dance class in a long time, but this video makes me want to take one! Who's in?

Favorite Kitchen
I love white kitchens, and this one in particular makes me swoon.

Favorite Interior
Have you seen the latest issue of Lonny Magazine? It features a cheeky home designed by Jamie Meares.

Favorite Watch
Last year, a client gave me a Michael Kors watch similar to this one. I am a bit of a klutz and accidentally flushed it down the toilet on the 4th of July. True story. I was pregnant and over emotional and Grayson was under the house about to bust open our sewer pipe to find it. This watch with its navy face would be a perfect replacement.

Favorite Recipe
Summer time means fresh tomatoes and the Farmer's Market is open every Saturday now! I can't wait to get my hands on heirloom tomatoes so I can make gazpacho. This one from Real Simple magazine sounds so good!

Favorite Photos
Wednesday night, Tilley-Gray went down for her normal bed time but woke up an hour later giggling and bright eyed. We let her stay up and play, especially because Grayson got home late that night from work. We had the best time playing. She may end up being a night owl like her parents!

This is a favorite because of this bow. I worked yesterday and Grayson and Tilley-Gray met me for an early dinner. He dressed her and decided to put the biggest bow in her collection on her. I'm almost positive this is meant for a five year old, but I loved it. It looks like a spectator hat on her!

I hope you all have a great weekend!
It's my first Mother's Day and I am excited to be spending it with my mom and grandmother!
Happy Mother's Day to all of you mom's out there!

Loving Emerson Fry

Emerson Made came on the scene a few years ago showcasing handmade fabric flowers and pins. Fast forward to today, and those little flowers launched her into a full on fashion designer, now known as Emerson Fry. Her style is a little glam, a little prep, and a little boho. A combination that sounds unlikely, but is infused perfectly into her newest collection.

A few favorites...

I absolutely would not classify these in the "mom clothes" category, however, I think the polish and style of Emerson Fry's clothing is perfect for where I am professionally and as a new mom.  Any of these would be perfect for a meeting with a client, a night on the town, or entertaining at home. I also love that in the majority of their photos, the  model is holding a Marie Antoinette style champagne glass. My favorite!

Design Crush: Elizabeth Dinkel

I found Elizabeth Dinkel Design when I tried finding the source for this gorgeous room. I first saw it on Pinterest, but not one time was it sourced correctly. After doing a little digging, I found out that Elizabeth Dinkel designed this room for the Veranda Showcase house.  Not only does the attention to detail in this room make it so gorgeous, the craftsmanship is unreal!

Looking through her website, every room she designs is stunning. She layers her designs but they never seem overly decorated or stiff. Again, the detail in her designs amaze me.

Favorite Fridays

How has your week been? Again, this week has flown by for me. When I was pregnant, everyone told me that the days would be long but the years would fly by with a new baby. I totally disagree because I think the days and weeks fly by as well!

Do you any favorites from this week?

Favorite Bag
This Tory Burch straw bag is so cute and would be a perfect bag for summer. It could replace my diaper bag (which is a black hole) and is big enough for my things too!

Favorite Way to Wake Up
This could be the perfect way to wake-up on Mother's Day.

I'm not moving into another house unless it has a walk-in closet.
This would make my mornings so much easier, and a bit more glamorous!

Favorite Flowers
Peonies are my absolute favorite! I came home last Saturday to these after coordinating a late wedding.
Note how "mommy" is spelled. I guess they don't require spelling in law school. Still, so sweet!

Favorite Cocktail
In honor of the Kentucky Derby tomorrow, we will be having Mint Julips while we work in the yard. Not a bad combination, right?

Favorite Recipe
Warm Lemon & Shallot Potato Salad

Favorite Photos
Tilley-Gray is now eating solid foods, which is making her precious legs and arms nice and chubby. In fact, a little too chubby for her bumbo chair. I need to buy a high chair, but can't even think about purchasing the one that I really want. It's gold and gorgeous, but a little pricey. Any suggestions?

The Easter Bunny brought Tilley-Gray a Jenny Jump-Up and she is obsessed.
She squels and trys to grab the dogs when they walk by. It's perfect because when I'm working, I can put her in it and she just entertains herself!

I just found this photo strip from my step-sister's wedding and had to share.
We haven't let loose like this in a long time!

Grayson and I are prepping the house for the HGTV magazine shoot that is less than two weeks. I had a slight panic attack a few days ago and started making a list a mile long of things we needed to do before they got here. I actually emailed the editor and she assured me that our house was exactly what they wanted and not to worry. How nice is that?

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Ashley Brooke Designs

Have you all heard of Ashley Brooke Designs? It is an adorable stationary company that creates custom illustrations for their clients. They emailed me yesterday just to introduce themselves. They are seriously sweet, their website could not be more darling, their blog is inspiring, and they even have great downloads!

The girls over at Ashley Brooke Designs and I have a few things in the works for you all, but I couldn't wait to tell you about them until then!

I would love to send out this card! Just add a baby and another dog and we would be set!

It is so hard to find blank invitations these days that are good looking as well.

This would be the perfect high school graduation gift!

She has so many other adorable designs, so take a look for yourself and let me know your favorites!

Shopbop's Wish List

I always love seeing what other people are wearing and what is on their wish list. Even if their style is different than my style, I love seeing how they pull pieces together and how they make it their own. I think that's why blogs like Atlantic-Pacific, the Glamourai, and Wendy's Lookbook are so popular.

Shopbop, one of my favorite online shops, featured a few of their employee's and their wish list for Mother's Day. Like the street bloggers, these women have incredible style (wouldn't it be a dream to work for Shopbop!?) but also have to balance their wardrobes with work and family life.

The only thing that I would love to have for Mother's Day is an album of our maternity photos, birth photos, and Tilley-Gray's newborn photos, BUT  if I was forced to choose a few, I've rounded up items that I think make great Mother's Day gifts!

Guest Post from Seventeen & Irving

Hi, I'm Lauren from Seventeenth & Irving, where I blog about fashion, interiors, and anything else I find inspiring. You might know me from this post on Fifi Cheek. I was excited when Lindsey asked me to put together a post for you guys on fashion trends translated to interior design. Since I'm an interior designer, I always follow the runway shows for inspiration.

When neon first popped up on the runways last fall, I knew it would only be a matter of time until it started trending in interiors. Now, everywhere you turn, there are inspiration images with bursts of neon. I think this is a perfect way to incorporate a fashion trend in to your own home whether you go for strategic pops of yellow and pink like this room from Style At Home, one bold statement like this hot pink coffee table featured on Design Sponge, or over the top with bright furniture like Jonathan Adler. Not only is it fun and playful, it just screams summer! Adding neon to your home is like bringing the sunshine indoors.

If you're looking to add just a subtle hint to your home with little commitment, these chevron pillows would be perfect on a neutral sofa. And wouldn't a summer brunch party using this flatware or these glasses be fun? This lampwould make a perfect impact on an entry console, but if you really want to make a statement, this chair from Society Social fits the bill. Don't be afraid to mix these pieces in strategically, a little goes a long way!
